sylver_dragon@lemmy.world 15 hours agoThey want you to set up autopay so that you forget about it and just keep paying them forever. Similar reason that every online store wants to save your credit card info. The less friction you have to paying for something, the more likely you are to do it.

yeah its crazy. they want to keep your credit card and then they want to have your bank account info. its like eff off. It really annoys me because the whole bill pay thing from banks could be made much better but I feel every place is desperate to not work with it.
