I am seeing that the term “boycott” means vastly different things to historians and the average emptor.
When I say «boycott,» what is the first that comes to your mind?
For me, it’s this.

Boycotts are by definition non-violent. You can’t just use an outdated definition or make up your own if you want people to understand what you’re trying to communicate. Just say riot, uprising or revolt instead.
