This is a shame, it could actually be wildly useful thing, generating a 3D model of your teeth and gum and oral health.
I bet that in the future this (type of thing, not the crap from dyson) will be a tool we all use, and not just the dentist.

Going to a dentist a couple times a year is enough. Nobody needs daily dental surveillance.
This is the type of thing that gives people a false sense of doing something. We know what we need for good oral health: brush and floss, avoid sugars.

For young people this is probably true, but when you get older gum health and related problems quickly gets into the top 5 of health concerns.
I also know loads of young people who don’t go to the dentist twice a year, but I guess that’s another story.
