Just mentioning the words “fertility monitor” in the post (or these comments) would probably have helped. I (and I assume those who downvoted) have never heared of the brand names in the article and do not even know what broad category of devices you were talking about.

NarrativeBear@lemmy.world 3 days agoHave you seen any similar products like the two on the article I linked too? Something that’s fully local and privacy respecting or preferably self-hosted.
The article is not mine (not sure why some people think so), but something that I linked to give people a sense of what devices I am looking for.

I didn’t follow the link, and I’d rather not because I still don’t know what it’s about.
I’m happy to help, but you must meet people half way.

No need to click the link, I justed added it so people that are not aware of what Inito or Mira can get a sense.
Anyways what I am looking for is a complete local alternative to Inito or Mira. These are fertility monitors that track a few different items (the article gets into it a bit better then I can explain my self).
I have been searching online for different monitors but honestly it looks like nothing exists, at least in the North American market at the moment.
I was really hoping that the people here in this community would be willing to help out like I myself occasionally do. Obviously not everyone knows every product out there, but maybe there is one or two of us on here that might know of something or point me in a direction.
Like stated before my biggest concern is the two fertility monitors that I found here send their data to the cloud, and their policies say this information can be used for target ads. This is a huge red flag for me.

Understood. Wife and I went through this (now 20-ish years ago).
We ended up adopting, but stuff like this in the USA is quite heavily political unfortunately.
You mentioned North America, but I’m not sure how Canada and Mexico see this stuff.
I wish you much luck going forward, and encourage you to DM me if you’re curious about adoption.
Best to you!
