I loved the first season, but the second season stretched my ability to suspend my disbelief. Plus the first season addressed her mental health in a really clever and unique way, but wasn’t really dealt with in season 2 other than some mentions of it, IIRC. Granted I haven’t seen it since right after it was released.

All that to say, the second season wasn’t very good, at least not compared to the first, and I wish it had a chance to redeem itself, but I’m not surprised it wasn’t renewed
