Yeah I remember those subreddits, as someone from the anime community they where a personal Faivourite. They also made it over here with 1 or 2 pretty active posters which I appreciate.

Oh and to those who are annoyed by it, there is nothing stopping you from just blocking ani.social. it’ll pretty much rid you of all anime art if thats not your cup of tea. Remember that community and Instance blocking is one of Lemmys strenghts!
