People liked the fact that his backing gave bluesky some extra clout, which gave it a lot more visibility. I don’t think the platform needs it any more, though.

retrospectology@lemmy.world 4 months agoYes, people might be forgiven for believing he’s different from Musk because they had differences about Twitter and because Twitter was not as bad when he owned it, but he’s still a tech cultist like Musk, still has all the wealthy 0.1%er Silicon Valley weirdness and kook beliefs.
He’s just not in the news as much.
