DNT was useless because you’re only kindly asking to not be tracked. No advertiser respects it, because they don’t have to. It’s actually has the opposite effect, because another data point just helps narrow you down for better tracking.

Using something that tells ad servers “hey please don’t track me” and have it disabled by default for most browsers is really just another easy fingerprinting mechanism.
