If enough people are using it, they’re going to be way more resistant to paying additional money for a game that isn’t in the game pass. This means that it locks users into a platform, and takes the consumers away from the game makers meaning the developers lose. Lose if they are on the game pass, lose if they aren’t.

Just another enshitification where the middleman is the only winner.
