Not my footage but thought SteamDeck owners might be interested in seeing this.
Unexpected but looks like some bad frame rate dips here and there with around 20fps in most scenes where there’s a few things going on.

It’s what I expected. I don’t think it’s going to get much better than that. It’s playable though if you don’t care much about frame consistency.
it was choppy in parts but actually the
morbol fight
and the
eikon battle
went super smoothly for me. the major issue was the very start of the
eikon battle
not so much unplayable just chuggy.
Not sure if just me but none of your spoiler tags are working lol - im on mobile and using boost though
sorry; i tried to add them in case but yeah i use boost too on mobile and they’ve always been broken in there.
there’s been a long running thread in the forum: this is the latest one (sorry I don’t know how to make an instance agnostic lemmy post link): lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/14698791

XVI’s graphics are no joke–by far the most detail I’ve ever seen in any game. It’s never gonna run well. I’m impressed it’s running at all.

It’s surprised me as well. There’s some scenes, areas and fights that aren’t in this demo that I imagine will just cause a deck to grind to a halt.

XVI’s animations (outside of important scenes) is not up to par with the older Horizon: Forbidden West, though. Comparing any game to Forbidden West’s motion capture is like putting it through a meat grinder. It’s dead. Wish XVI didn’t border on “high quality animations” syndrome, sometimes.
