    Oh man. Had advance wars on my game boy advance when I was in the Navy. It was perfect for 4 player games because one player could do their moves on their own time, then hand the game off to the next player whenever they saw them next. Also played a ton on leave, wandering cities and passing it back and forth.

      If you’re looking for something that’s out now, there is Wargroove 1 and 2. It uses a fantasy setting, but it plays the same as advanced wars (unit factories that require money).

      I wasn’t a huge fan on how Wargroove handled COs, but otherwise it’s a great tactical strategy game. Also can only speak for the first one, haven’t gotten around to the second.

    There’s a fine line between “clearly inspired” and “shamelessly copying”.

    But I am interested, none-the-less.
