I know it says in the article that single player is a viable option, but I hope they don’t just increase the grind to justify the co-op.

Agreed. I have zero issues with actual horror games but diving into the dead zone or below the magma caves hits differently. Seeing a leviathan dive up from the abyss is… chilling, even after maby times.
The reapers I could get used to, but damn…
