    Swine flu then?

Just what we need, a second round of swine flu. Thankfully in this case it seems to be mild.

There’s also that mystery respiratory disease appearing in clusters in China…should I get the extra toilet paper in advance this time?

It’s almost like we shouldn’t be breeding animals like this and then eating them.

You have a point, but in such a heavily populated society, the alternatives are either only eating hunted meat (not enough wild animals to support current levels of consumption) or to convince society to go vegan (an extremely hard sell).

Another option is that we could eat less meat, which would allow for higher health and welfare standards to be implemented on farms.

I disagree on the hard sell on going vegan, as I’m biased, but i also was a huge meat eater before I made the change about 6 years ago.
