He’s just setting expectations for the new direction consisting of bland AI generated stories.

You just unlocked a new fear for me. Soon everything will be bland AI generated crap, optimized for revenue. I have never considered this before.

You sound sarcastic lol. Maybe its because I follow a lot of artists who have similar concerns.

Iger died years ago. This is just the robot they use when they need to deflect blame and resurrect the stock price

Hey Bob, you do know that you can have gay and non binary characters AND a good story, right? Maybe first focus on reducing the number of movies you release and increase their quality, instead of blaming poor performance on the inclusion of underrepresented groups.

He’s not blaming poor performance on the inclusion of underrepresented groups… Talk about putting two and two together to make five.
He’s saying that they spent too much time focusing on “the message” and not enough on good stories. He also blamed it on just making too much crap.
Did you even read the article or just the headline?

I absolutely read the article.
And he said rhey have “to entertain first, it’s not about the messages”, but then also blamed poor performance on releasing too many films at the expense of quality.
What I’m saying is they the problem sounds like the quantity, not that the writers were including characters from underrepresented groups. When he says “messaging” I know he means the inclusion of those minority characters because he referenced Black Panther as a success.
Ok, so release less and focus on quality, but don’t blame it on “the messaging”.

That’s actually exactly what he said in the article…
