I feel like that'd be a HUGE boon to the platform.
lotide itself does have search for posts at least, it's just not used in any of the frontends at the moment.
Search is also less meaningful on a federated platform since not all the content is known by each server
Oh wow that's interesting! I had no idea.
Search could prove helpful though, some search is probably better than none, and extremely helpful for finding local posts.
Hoot has a search button. If you click it, it says, "This isn't implemented yet" in large, friendly letters.
