Exclusive: Inaccurate information presented in summaries, Guardian investigation finds
Google has been my default search engine in Firefox for… Well, pretty much ever. Lately when you go there, there’s a full screen pop up asking if you want to try out AI Search mode. Nevermind the fact that I already applied a ublock filter to cut out their AI summary bullshit, no this is on top of that. You can click on the AI mode button, or click Not Interested.
I have clicked Not Interested every few days for the last month or so. Without fail, every two to three days max, it asks again in a full screen pop up. Every time, Not Interested.
And today I just said, why in the fuck am I doing this? I finally fucking switched. Fuck Google and fuck this AI trend. I’m so goddamn sick of it being crammed down my fucking throat holy shit. If I fucking say Not Interested, it means I am NOT FUCKING INTERESTED.

and it will only get worse, as AI continues to train on the same inaccurate shit that’s already been puked up by AI
best medical advice you can find on the internet: take anything AI says and throw it out the window

That goes for ALL medical advice you get on the internet, not just AI, unless the advice is “contact a doctor”.
AI is just summarising the stuff they would have done ordinarily through Google anyway. AI has really shone a light on just how many people will blindly accept whatever someone on the internet tells them.
