SpaceX has revised its Starlink privacy policy to allow the use of customer data for AI training, a shift that could bolster Elon Musk’s AI ambitions.
There is an opt out. Sign into your account, go to settings then privacy preferences and uncheck the AI training box.

What data exactly? I don’t know how Starlink works in terms of the user experience. Do you need to use a proxy or something? I’d assumed they simply provide and route IP? Because almost all IP traffic these days is SSL encrypted, that’s not really useful data for training AIs on.

SSL only works in transit. Starlink can see raw data on their end.

I thought the point of TLS / SSL was that the ISP would see only encrypted data. They can still see the sites you visit (due to IPs) but not the full path.
