I just installed Linux on my gaming PC a few days back. Yesterday I had to update discord manually and was a bit annoyed by the process.
This comes at the exactly right time
Discord is finally less of a nuisance to update on Linux

And Discord’s is particularly bad. Even Windows takes its time between update checks. It’s the first thing Discord does every time you launch it.
