In addition to making people stupid, I wonder what affect will LLMs like Claude will have on programmers? How will new programmers learn if companies start using Claude?

Well yes, because most companies are using LLMs to sift through applicants and auto reject anyone who doesn’t use LLMs to write them.

Isn’t that what they said about the automatic transmission, calculators, typewriters, and who knows how many other things they themselves use while shaming you for doing the same?
