    Good to hear :)

    People have been shitting on Valve for the controller needing Steam to work as if that was some intentional vendor lock-in, which feels a little unfair as it’s not really a normal controller (due to the trackpads) and so can’t work out the box as one.

    This development does make me more likely to want one though, because as much as I just excused Valve, I also do want my hardware to function outside proprietary ecosystems.

      The PS5 controller also has trackpads and can work as a regular controller or be customized via steam input

      A button combo you can press to boot the controller in Xinput mode would’ve still been really nice, it’s long been a standard feature on much cheaper chinese controllers (e.g. GameSir).
