I'm actually nervous to ask this because I've seen this question "answered" a dozen times and feel like the explanations must be obvious to everyone but me.
How do I backup my steam deck?
At the moment, I've just plugged in an external SSD via USB C and dragged my whole "home" folder over, but I can't help but wonder if this is overkill. This SSD is also not exclusively for deck backups, so I worry about file corruption.
Steam games aren't that important as I can just reinstall them whenever I want, but settings, custom game profiles, mods, and non-steam games that take a little setup, such as the PC port of Perfect Dark or No One Lives Forever, I would like to preserve.
I do not have a Windows or Linux PC (outside of the Deck itself). I do have a Mac, but I'm guessing my best route is to just do everything on the deck itself.
Thank you to anyone willing to help.
