i really just want to have a decent gaming machine and something that can run ai models bigger than 4b.
this is a serious and realistic situation many find themselves in right now. should i commit to 250% above msrp? or make do with what i have?

The time to grit your teeth and pull the trigger was last December at the latest. Now you’re for sure losing a limb or two. But yeah, its not going to get better next year its gonna get worse so.
How about looking in the used market? 4070 or even 3080? Or some nice amd gpus too, I got a 6900xt for like 400 bucks a year ago

I would use whatever I have already. Current prices are insane. No one should pay such money for a video card unless their very life depends on it.
