And yet they have no interest in fixing my steam controller issue from basically day 1.

Which issue? My second set had the right one not tracking my left ring finger (apparently a MAJOR issue that only the steam rep noticed in my test vid) but refused to do anything about the sticking of my right hand in a closed fist position (finally figured out if I close my hand AND press the trigger it will reset, closing the hand triggers it but only once per powered on session) still struggling with this issue to this day

Mine is purely software. I want the left touchpad to be a scroll wheel, and it doesn’t work. Well it kinda works, but not right.
For about 5 minutes when I got the controller I could set clockwise or counterclockwise motion to scroll and it would do per pixel scrolling. Now when I enable that setting it does nothing. I can add on top of it cw/ccw motion to act as scroll wheel which gets the job done. But single scroll wheel motions aren’t as precise/quick as the per pixel/accelerated motion.
If I remember right the right touchpad does it just fine. Only the left doesn’t.
Also I detest how it does different profiles automatically. I never want my controller to act differently unless I tell it to. But that’s a separate issue and I can manually revert it to what I want per game.

People can end up with computers that were designed for a very specific environment and use it for totally different purposes. There isn’t much reason to not support it.
