- Comment on Steam Deck 2 getting closer but hardware still not quite there yet 1 week ago:
Given the price of everything, it’s hard to be excited about this. I’ll probably stick with what I have and get used hardware if I’m hard-pressed to get something more.
- Comment on ETA Prime : Steam Machine Hands-On First Look! 1 week ago:
I’m not faulting them (look at what happened with the PS3), but it was still a point towards its price being higher than the folks that thought it’d be priced closer to a PS5 or Xbox Series.

I’ve been saying since the beginning of the RAM crisis that was no way this was going to be under $999 since Valve wasn’t willing to make it a loss leader. Oh, the sweet validation. And more importantly: fuck AI. I’ll see you all when the Steam Frame is +$1,499 USD.
- Comment on Steam is ending the physical Steam Gift Cards at retailers! 3 weeks ago:
It makes sense, scammers looooove gift cards. And any time you see someone with a $500 or $1K+ gift card with s suspiciously vague and unenthusiastic story paired with it, you almost certainly know they’re being scammed.
- Comment on Steam Deck now out of stock in Europe in addition to USA, Canada and Asia 4 months ago:
I’m glad I got one for one my friend’s birthday. Given the price of computer parts, I figured it was only a matter of time before that either went out of stock or skyrocketed in price.
- Comment on Days after cancelling their Linux-compatible mod loader, Nexus Mods announces that they're bringing SteamOS support to Vortex 5 months ago:
And a lot of spare time.
- Comment on Can't avoid native Linux version from GOG with Heroic on Steam Deck 10 months ago:
Well, you listed one reason in your own post, so I supposed you could understand why. 😛
Another reason is poor support for Linux ports. Garry’s Mod crashes after ~30 minutes for me on the native Linux port, but works (mostly) out of the box under Proton.
It should also be noted that neither WINE nor Proton are emulating Windows.
- Comment on Any fellow steam deckers playing Halo Wars or MCC? 1 year ago:
The Halo series is one I’ll probably never give up, but I suppose I’m currently on a hiatus.
- Comment on the official dock is never quite plug & play when it comes to an external display (DVI) 1 year ago:
I don’t use my Steam Deck as a work machine, but I’ve also found getting external displays to be a bit of a chore. I’ve never gotten the DP to work and the HDMI is hit or miss.
That being said, the external display ports work more consistently with other hardware, like my laptop, so I think the issue lies with the Steam Deck.
