- Comment on 'OLED and LCD will die out’: A microLED expert explains how the superior TV tech will finally become affordable 1 week ago:
I have a 34" IPS ultrawide from 2018 that I’ve been using heavily for work and personal use (essentially 14+ hours a day). Since it’s an IPS panel I have no worry about burn-in. And I can keep using it for another 6-7 years without worrying about it.
With an OLED panel in the same scenario, I’d expect to see some burn in happening within 3 years of getting it. - Comment on Microsoft removes Windows 11 24H2 official support on 8th 9th 10th Gen Intel CPUs 1 month ago:
My laptop has the slightly refreshed 10870H. I got it in early '21. A 4 year old laptop isn’t new enough for Windows 11.
- Comment on Terrified friends burn to death trapped in Tesla as doors won't open after crash 5 months ago:
When I first learned that Teslas (and almost all other EV’s) have electronic only doors, I knew this kind of situation would happen.
I hope this gets laws enacted that force manufacturers to install mechanical latches on all of their vehicles. I know Teslas have manual overrides on their front doors, but the rear doors still have this issue.
