- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your Deck? - July 2025 1 week ago:
I just picked up FF7 Rebirth and Riders Republic during the sale. I’ve been enjoying them quite a bit. Otherwise my Deck is mostly used to play Dead Cells and PokeMMO.

My god you’re right, X on its own does work.
I’ve been using the Steam button this whole time since that’s the hotkey shown in gaming mode.

- Comment on Windows seemingly lost 400 million users in the past three years — official Microsoft statements show hints of a shrinking user base 1 week ago:
This is what I think the bulk of their lost userbase has gone, in addition to Gen Z not being terribly interested in PCs the way those in Gen X and Millenials are.
- Comment on What emulated games hold up in 2025? 1 week ago:
I play through Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 at least once a year. It is largely nostalgia for me, but goddamn those games are fantastic.
3 is much less so, unfortunately.

Yes, but then you need to go in and change out some of the mods that aren’t up-to-date, which for some users is intimidating.

I chose not to include them since they aren’t updated frequently, and in my experience often require the user to do some fiddling.

- Comment on Using the Steam Deck docked has been a dreadful experience for me. Is it just me going wrong? 3 months ago:
Your TV is playing a large part in the degraded visuals. It may be receiving a 720p signal from the Steam Deck, but it then needs to upscale that to whatever resolution your TV is displaying. Most TVs are hot garbage at doing this task, and will make your picture look washed out, or even pixelated.
The dock you’re using could also have subpar power delivery circuits. Even if this isn’t the case, make sure you’re supplying power to the dock via the Steam Deck’s charger (or one with equivalent power ratings).
These are problems I’ve never encountered in my ~2 years of owning a Deck myself, but I can’t give you more feedback without knowing what specific Dock and Television you’re using.

Maybe this is new to the deck, but Steam has had the feature itself for years.

You’re still better off with something from 8Bit-do at that price. If they included trackpads and vibration it would’ve been a nice Steam Controller v2.

Another 8bitdo user here. They really are fantastic. I have a bunch of DualShock 4’s I use as well.

Hah, I see you aren’t an Ark Player.
