cassete beasts is a pokemon-like game, that wont require to much power.
ember knights is very simmiliar to hades, both are great roguelikes.
doom2, blood, duke nukem 3d etc run with low power consumption.
a hat in time is a 3d jump n run that can ve limitted to 10 watt tdp (maybe less)

pillars of eternity, great game so far, did not play a realtime-with-pause rpg since kotor, but thanks to the auto-pause settings this plays really well. And while i can’t claim to understand whats going on right now, the world seems to be really fleshed out and combats so far where very fun.
brotato, fun take on the vampires survivor formular.
backpack battles, an autobattler, but players don’t draft from a shared pool, so you’ll mostly draft the same builds everytime and don’t care much about the builds you are dacing. not somerhing i’ll continue playing, but it was ok to waste a bit of time, would probably be cool on mobile.
doom2, but i am allways playing doom, so i guess that does not count.

i’d try 720p if that matches your tv.
no black bars, probably no visible downgrade and maybe a tad smoother fps wise.
you could try 1080p, your deck wont explode or anything, but it probably leads to more fps fluctuations.
- Comment on I've never had a Steam account or done PC gaming. I have a OLED SteamDeck coming. what do I need to know? 11 months ago:
apex legends works. the finals does not, because of their anti-cheat solution.
for multi-player fps games remember that you’ll play against pc players, they’ll have keyboard and mouse and you won’t have assistance features you might be used to from console fps. Experiment with gyro controls, the touchpads and/or “flick stick” you’ll might find a way to get similar speed and accuracy as a mouse user, but i’d guess you are in for an uphill battle.
have a look at the control schemes provided by the community for games, if you don’t like the default controls.
my competitive fps days are in the past, but i can recommend some single player fps i enjoyed on the deck:
- Doom (2016)
- Black Mesa, the half-life 1 remake.
- Amid Evil
- Boltgun
- Borderlands 2

Oh, that will be a sad day.
I think i saw almost all of his stuff and while the quality of the movies spans the entire specturm Cages performance is allways atleast fun. I really enjoy watching him on the screen.

A reddit post explaining how to find the correct path and install texture packs for dolphin
I don’t have emudeck installed on the deck currently (and i might be at work right now…) But this should still be the way to do it.
For other emulators you might be able to find the correct path if you right click on the corresponding library entry in desktop mode. Choose “manage”-> “show in file explorer” or something like that.
- Comment on How do I setup texture packs in Emudeck correctly? 1 year ago:
Emudeck is “just” a collection of emulators, so you should be able to just follow the process as if you installed the emulator yourself. This process will vary from emulator to emulator.
E.g. For dolphin it’s basically drag and drop the custom textures to the right folder. Dolphin forum post explaining it You’ll have to use desktop mode for this.
I think RetroArch is a simmiliar ordeal, but other emulators might work differently.

Just finished my first playthrough of baldurs gate 3, so another playthrough of bg3 after i decided on some mods to keep me on my toes during combat encounters. Or i delve into the old infinity engine games (baldurs gate, icewind dale etc.) That i never really played because kid me did not understand them.

I had the blurinnes only if i enabled TAA, no problems with SMAA, but it still sucks the battery dry and frame rate in act3 was not good. If combat wasnt turn based i’d would not play it on the deck.

Ember Knights is a rogue lite heavily inspired by the gameplay of hades. Supports up to 4 players.
Plate Up is somewhat simmiliar to overcooked, but is more about process optimisation and not about dealing with the oddities of a stage.
Most lego games also offer local coop and are good fun.
30xx is a roguelite with gameplay simmiliar to MegaMan X that can be played by 2 players.
Towerfall Ascension is also worth a look.
Hell Divers is also a great game, but it had sound issues(strange echoes of some enemy sounds) last time i tried.
