Hello,
As you banned my other account, I am now commenting with this one. I’m not going to comment on this that much, the modlog is public, people interested can have a look at make their own opinions.
For history, the two removed posts:
I guess we can just conclude that we disagree on how to manage this kind of communities, which is mostly fine, that’s what Lemmy is about after all: freedom.
I’ll probably contact the people interested in review threads (and there seems to be a few, based on the removed threads and the 200 upvotes on the other post).
Good luck

Interesting for a show that’s finished. Any explanation why?
- Comment on RANT : The thing i miss from reddit is that when a series or movie came out or ended there would be a big discussion threads. 10 months ago:
If I’m not mistaken I think this community may have been created in response to its loss, but it hasn’t managed to get as much activity for whatever reason. Prior to the Lemmy.film instance going away, its version of this community had around five thousand subscribers.
That is correct, but the first community was created was created during the peak of Lemmy users post Reddit exodus, we are now much less on Lemmy as a whole. !moviesandtv@lemm.ee is still the most active movie community in the whole of Lemmy.
The media restriction might play a role, but I don’t remember that many videos upload from the previous version. What was there though, is the discussion threads that we are discussing here. I opened a discussion on them this morning but got that thread removed (see below). That’s a bit concerning to be honest.

Ah, I see, but then if people don’t watch it on the week it was released they have to find that weekly thread again
- Comment on [deleted] 10 months ago:
Hey, good to hear from you, it’s been a while!
- Comment on [deleted] 10 months ago:
Also that would mean having the 5 releases of the week+ 2-3 shows pinned, quite a lot

Thanks for your comment!
The issue is that released usually vary at least 1-2 weeks worldwide, it can quickly become messy

Indeed, I guess we should discuss how we want to have that here
