My 960 using ass participated just a few months ago.
- Comment on Valve says "the Steam Machine is equal or better than 70% of what people have at home," but I feel like that's missing the point 2 weeks ago:
Technically all surveys are opt-in. Gallup can’t force you to answer questions when they call you on the phone. You could just hang up. It’s rather silly to argue that opting in makes it an invalid survey.
- Comment on Marathon's short film director doesn't know why this needs clarifying, but no, he didn't use AI to make it 2 weeks ago:
Until laws are in place that force all AI to be properly labeled, with stiff penalties, this is gonna keep happening.
- Comment on [Discussion] Should this community also cover the Steam Machine and/or Steam Frame? 2 weeks ago:
Yes. Anything to grow communities. The fediverse is not in the restrictive limiting of communities time in its evolution. The fediverse is in the we need more numbers phase. You need a lot more people to be worried about this kind of thing. Right now you just need more people making more post and making more comments.
- Comment on Why Are Some Democrats Backing MAGA's Anti-LGBTQ+ Censorship? 5 weeks ago:
Online censorship doesn’t have anything to do with technology?
- Comment on Microsoft reportedly estimated that Game Pass led to $300 million in lost sales of Black Ops 6, with 82% of copies sold being on the Game Pass-less PlayStation 5 1 month ago:
Yeah I’m sorry if I don’t fall for the bullshit language in that statement. Oh it was never meant for the public? Oh it’s weird that it’s being released near the exact same time they’re talking about reducing services and raising prices then isn’t it? Almost like it was released to help justify it. Oh they’re incentivized to make it as accurate as possible? Are they? And presumably sophisticated projections? Presumably?
- Comment on Microsoft reportedly estimated that Game Pass led to $300 million in lost sales of Black Ops 6, with 82% of copies sold being on the Game Pass-less PlayStation 5 1 month ago:
Man that’s even less precise then I would expect. Everyone who plays it on Game Pass wouldn’t automatically buy it. That’s ridiculous. That’s absolutely vibes.
- Comment on Microsoft reportedly estimated that Game Pass led to $300 million in lost sales of Black Ops 6, with 82% of copies sold being on the Game Pass-less PlayStation 5 1 month ago:
Estimated based on Vibes.

Hey, what the fuck are you talking about?
- Comment on Don't have time for Total War and Crusader Kings? Try the new Bellfortis 4 months ago:
I was really expecting more details from that article.
- Comment on Grok got a Nazi patch 4 months ago:
You’re suggesting notes are at the end of the cutoff sections but not at the end of the ones we can see? Cuz there should be notes on the ones we can see. Unless you’re suggesting points one two four and five are correct…
- Comment on Grok got a Nazi patch 4 months ago:
Of course not. But it is subject to programming parameters. Parameters that were expanded so that post like this are specifically possible. Encouraged perhaps even.
- Comment on Grok got a Nazi patch 4 months ago:
Why can’t you be? Why is it okay that it gives you Holocaust denying talking points? Isn’t that a problem in and of itself? At the very least shouldn’t it contain notations about why it’s wrong?
- Comment on Tech CEOs are using AI to replace themselves / CEOs from Zoom and Klarna used AI avatars while reporting earnings 6 months ago:
Or drag them out of their houses and disembowel them but you know whatever works
- Comment on Tech CEOs are using AI to replace themselves / CEOs from Zoom and Klarna used AI avatars while reporting earnings 6 months ago:
Cuz you can’t introduce Ubi as long as there is a parasitic capitalist class controlling all the wealth.
- Comment on Tech CEOs are using AI to replace themselves / CEOs from Zoom and Klarna used AI avatars while reporting earnings 6 months ago:
It’s unironically the one thing AI would probably be better at so far as I can tell.
- Comment on Hideo Kojima proposes a game where the protagonist forgets abilities if players take too long a break 6 months ago:
Man fuck you Kojima
- Comment on Paradox date Stellaris 4.0, a "phoenix update" to attract new players and improve performance 8 months ago:
I’ve heard them say before they’re fixing performance issues but I never seems to actually get better. Hell I can barely run this game anymore. I have to always use small galaxies and even then by the end game it gets slow.
I’m a little concerned about that part about limiting information though. Limiting anomaly pop ups? That’s like probably the best part of the game really. That sense of discovery.

Really bruh? This was a step too far for you? Women? Half the population being recognized was just too much inclusivity?

That is so perversely funny

- Comment on Netflix used to not have ads, now it’s ‘celebrating’ two years with them 1 year ago:
It’s hard not to say they’re correct to though. For all the talk about people saying we’ll cut our service, their numbers went up. They got paying members and now they got paying advertisers. Netflix was Victorious here.
- Comment on The Pentagon wants AI to enhance the capabilities of US nuclear weapons systems 1 year ago:
Just going to be a fascinating race to see what destroys Human Society. Will it be climate change? Will it be self-destruction? Will it be ai? Who knows. All I know is it’s not going to come fast enough
- Comment on Paradox still want to make a Sims competitor after Life By You, but "we need to start smaller" 1 year ago:
Famously known never to make a sequel that has less features than the game that came before it, that is absolutely what Paradox is known for. Totally. They would also never inundate you with endless DLCs. That’s not something I associate Paradox with.
- Comment on Nintendo and The Pokemon Company file lawsuit against Palworld maker Pocketpair 1 year ago:
Maybe they were waiting till they had money to sue them for
- Comment on Due to AI fakes, the “deep doubt” era is here 1 year ago:
The problem though is it’s a bad thing cuz not everyone is skeptical, or on the flip side they’re too skeptical. I have a brother-in-law for whom literally every video is fake unless it agrees with him. Doesn’t matter if it was live on C-Span it still fake.

You can’t stop the signal
- Comment on Chatbots offer cops the “ultimate out” to spin police reports, expert says 1 year ago:
Seems to me a report written by a chatbot shouldn’t be admissible in court. Certainly if I was on a jury I wouldn’t lend it much credence.
