I disagree. Wemby plays center, not some small little guard on the perimeter even though he’s built like a skinny little orphan. Front court play is physical. I can’t believe every single one of you Wemby fans don’t ever watch how bigs play. Watch Jokic. Embiid. Barnes. Any center or PF. They are body-wrestling arm-wrestling under the rim. GO WATCH how other centers and power forwards play. What he deals on offense he does the same thing on defense. It’s a nothingburger.

I honestly started these playoffs being EFFUSIVE over the talent and development of Spurs’ young players. They have such amazing talent collection from these last 3 years. And how Castle and Harper has grown WAY BEYOND anyone’s imagination in such a short time. Everyone knows what unnatural gifts Wemby possess. Castle and Harper are probably the two most talented backcourt in the entire league. They possess top 10 talent already, and they are only in 1st and 2nd year of their profession.
YET. I am growing to DISLIKE Spurs. These Spurs. They play dirty. It isn’t just Wemby. Carter Bryant body-slamming SGA twice in a span of 30 seconds. Castle doing the same thing to Brunson in game 3. Wemby’s elbows. Wemby twisting Alvarado’s neck in game 2. Shoving Brunson in the neck forcefully in game 3. Others that probably went unnoticed. Once is an outlier. When it’s done multiple times, it’s a pattern. It’s INTENTIONAL.
They have more collective talent than many teams in the league. They can and SHOULD win on talent alone. There is ZERO need to resort to dirty tactics. Yet they do. They are shielded by a certain saintly halo Spurs have with the media for some reason. That halo is misplaced. Behind the blank or smiling innocent faces lurks dirty players.
And it is disappointing because Wemby seems so likeable. The young Spurs seem so likeable. But the way they play, they are showing who they truly are.
Dirty.

LOL no. Spurs have been playing dirty physical ball all year, all these playoffs. You weren’t watching the earlier series or the series against OKC. For all the media and social media hysterical cries about OKC Spurs were just as dirty if not dirtier. Go watch the post I have on Pop’s coaching.

ah ok. yeah I’ve been talking about Harper a lot. He’s always had this offensive tool bag except the 3. He never played defense but suddenly this year his D has been all-NBA level.
