- Comment on BioWare's Mark Darrah thinks Veilguard is the first Dragon Age where "the combat's actually fun" 2 weeks ago:
If that’s not a colossally big red flag I don’t know what is, especially considering Origins had pretty good combat and everything else since has been “meh” at best.
- Comment on Steam Next Fext 2024's most popular demos include goblin maid sims, horror shooters and a Chinese game about an unmarried no-lifer 2 weeks ago:
What a shit article, it goes all the way until the end to just briefly mention the goblin game in the title. Fuck RPS.
On that note, the goblin maid game looks fun and cute. Seems like a more polished version of Viscera Cleanup.
- Comment on Sun Haven is for Stardew Valley fans that want more and it now has controller support 3 weeks ago:
Eh, I dunno man, it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth to support games with tons of DLC even if just cosmetic, the game has to be really good to compensate and even then I’m not a fan of it. I miss the times when cosmetics like this would be locked behind an in-game challenge or achievement.

Holy shit, I was thinking about getting this game. Guess I’m taking it off my wishlist.

… Dreadwolf was cooler.

What’s the point in watching your shitty show then, Geoff?
- Comment on Prison Architect 2 developers part ways with Paradox months before it's due for release 1 month ago:
Paradox is becoming the new EA, they weren’t great before but they’re becoming absolutely awful now. Whenever I see “Paradox Interactive” associated with a game I get second thoughts about it.
- Comment on The Long Dark is getting a Cheat Death system, but don't worry, it's also getting a Misery Mode and cougars 1 month ago:
Because the game wasn’t already miserable enough as it is.
- Comment on I’m fascinated by this open-world delivery game that sounds like Death Stranding on a horse in 13th-century Mongolia, with “unparalleled equine realism” 1 month ago:
I know the feeling, at the end of the game
spoiler
in the shootout between Arthur, the rest of the gang and the pinkertons when your horse dies during the cutscene…
That hit me hard as well, fuck me I had invested so much time and effort into that horse and those bastards killed my girl.
- Comment on I’m fascinated by this open-world delivery game that sounds like Death Stranding on a horse in 13th-century Mongolia, with “unparalleled equine realism” 1 month ago:
To be honest the horse mechanics in RDR2 are very in-depth, you have to manage their fear, stamina, weight, cleanliness and so forth… I never understood why some people cared about the realistic aspects of horses in games until I played it, it really adds to the immersion compared to something like Skyrim’s horses that are just bikes on legs.
- Comment on Bloodstained’s final update arrives next week, adding Chaos and Versus modes originally planned for 2020 2 months ago:
… Huh, I wasn’t even aware it was still getting updates. Cool, I guess?
- Comment on Kerbal Space Program 2 feared cancelled as 70 layoffs reported at Take-Two's Seattle offices 2 months ago:
Rarely if ever.
- Comment on Dead Space 2 remake reportedly shelved due to poor sales of the first game 2 months ago:
RPS not doing their due dilligence by researching the story better before publishing it? I’m shocked I tell you, shocked!
- Comment on Of Life and Land is a promising settlement-building game with rich simulation out on Steam 2 months ago:
Dwarf Fortress lite? I’m in.
- Comment on Lego Fortnite gets driveable, customisable vehicles in Mechanical Mayhem update 3 months ago:
I legitimately don’t understand both the appeal or need for a Lego Fortnite game to exist. For starters, isn’t the point of the game that it’s basically trying to be a sandbox already? And then if the idea is to have Lego characters… Why not add them to the original game? It already has a shit ton of characters from everywhere else.
Obviously the answer is “money” but this seems so stupid and needless, very on brand for Epic.
- Comment on Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake announced 6 months ago:
We truly live the era of remakes. I’d rather devs made new games instead.
- Comment on Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch in the early 2024 6 months ago:
It’s gonna run on a whopping 5 frames per second! Groundbreaking!
- Comment on Winter 2023 Development Update 7 months ago:
You’re not alone, I think most people already forgot about it. In a way it’s a good thing, because with low expectations it’s much harder to end up in a situation like No Man’s Sky or Cyberpunk 2077 where the expectations were unachievably high.
- Comment on Court rules Gabe Newell must appear in person to testify in Steam anti-trust lawsuit 7 months ago:
Eh, more like Epic approached them with a suitcase full of money, that’s very different.
- Comment on Court rules Gabe Newell must appear in person to testify in Steam anti-trust lawsuit 7 months ago:
To be honest Epic now has a shopping cart… After almost 5 years of wait, mind you.
