- Comment on The interstellar dice-driven RPG Citizen Sleeper is free for the next week, so now you've got no excuse to not play it 1 week ago:
It’s only free on Epic.
I tried searching on Steam where it’s still like $6. Confused I went into the article, and in the second paragraph it tells you it’s only free on Epic.
- Comment on Another Xbocalypse begins: Microsoft are reportedly closing or spinning off Double Fine, Ninja Theory and Compulsion 1 week ago:
If Double Fine closes instead of just splitting back off into its own studio, I’m gonna be pissed.
- Comment on Fantasy city-builder Songs of Syx gets a major Reign of Terror expansion 1 week ago:
I just played the demo yesterday and had a decent time. There’s a lot of menus and the graphics and art style take some getting used to, but it seems like there’s a lot there.
- Comment on Destroy an entire city as a rolling ball of weird flesh in ROLLA 1 week ago:
Always love when games have a demo for me to try.
Even better when they leave it up and active even after their game releases.
- Comment on Pumping out new Fallout and Elder Scrolls games faster is reportedly the plan at Xbox, as the spectre of potential corporate rejigging looms 1 week ago:
I mean for Morrowind right now there’s Tamriel Rebuilt, Cyrodiil Rebuilt, and Skyrim: Home of The Nords which add the full Vvardenfell province, the province of Cyrodiil from Morrowind’s lore, and the province of Skyrim from Morrowind’s lore.
- Comment on To the delight of its skateboarding aliens, I have failed to solo Saturday morning cartoon-styled co-op roguelike Maximum Thunderness as if I have four hands 2 weeks ago:
I mean I’ve seen bad titles from other news sources, but RPS are consistently the worst every single time.
- Comment on To the delight of its skateboarding aliens, I have failed to solo Saturday morning cartoon-styled co-op roguelike Maximum Thunderness as if I have four hands 2 weeks ago:
RPS literally always has the worst fucking titles.
- Comment on Gothic remake lockpicking backlash raises the fascinating question of whether anybody really enjoys lockpicking in RPGs 2 weeks ago:
I played the Project: Mist demo last week.
That game has probably the freshest lockpicking minigame I’ve played in years. You have to extend the “pick” while also rotating the lock, but you have to thread it through the open spaces and neither just stays where you leave it; you need to constantly juggle each one to not break your pick.
- Comment on "Overwhelming power": Fumito Ueda's giant robot game gets an official title and, wait a minute, is that a gun? 2 weeks ago:
What’s bad is I know damn well he’s got his hair pulled back in a bitch bun, and thought “that looks fine” about the baby hairs before taking that work selfie.
Source: I have similar hair and it looks wild and wispy like that when it’s pulled back.
- Comment on "Overwhelming power": Fumito Ueda's giant robot game gets an official title and, wait a minute, is that a gun? 2 weeks ago:
It’s called Gen Atlas
- Comment on Development on Prologue: Go Wayback is ending as PlayerUnknown Productions lays off an unspecified amount of staff 3 weeks ago:
I finally remembered that this is the game that was announced only a few months ago. At least that’s when I first heard about it.
- Comment on Star Wars Zero Company release date leaks ahead of Summer Game Fest, and its XCOM-ish star warring isn't too far, far away 3 weeks ago:
Nice. This is one I’m actually kind of excited for. And all the screenshots look absolutely amazing.
- Comment on Crimson Desert's forgettable story will undergo tweaks to "strengthen the narrative flow" in the coming months, as Pearl Abyss tease proper DLC 3 weeks ago:
I just want to know why there are Iron Man power armors, dragons (also with power armor), mech suits, magic, guns with bullets/lasers, flying sky kingdoms, and medieval societies.
- Comment on Bungie reportedly eyeing up "significant" layoffs, no plans for Destiny 3: what happens after Destiny 2's final update in June? 4 weeks ago:
That’s it, no more Destiny. I wonder if D2 will still be up and “playable” after June 9th, as it’s a F2P live service game.
I can still go back and play through 90% of Destiny 1, so that’s pretty cool. Who knows how long Destiny 2 will be up once they actually shut down the servers.
- Comment on Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning 5 weeks ago:
They should unvault the content they deleted if the game is over. But I know we can never get it back because some idiot actually deleted it all from Bungie’s own archive.
Honestly, I still get upset that Bungie even thought it was a good idea. Like why would you effectively get rid of the game that actually shipped and people originally bought it for? Why the hell was there no compensation for players who actually bought the game before it went F2P (I’m not asking for actual money, but some kind of in-game exclusive item that you could only get if you bought the game before they changed it to F2P)?
- Comment on Shelve your hopes to play Ghost of Yōtei or Saros on PC, as PlayStation boss reportedly confirms plan to stop porting narrative-driven singleplayer games 5 weeks ago:
As long as they don’t delist the ones that are already available for PC, I’m fine with this.
Like this is already a fucking stupid business decision, but if they then also decide that delisting the games they’ve already made available might get them more console sales, I’ll eat a damn shoe. I believe that will actually piss off people enough to do something.
- Comment on Skyrim now runs on Fallout 4's Pip-Boy and computer terminals, as modder delivers the one port Bethesda haven't thought of yet 5 weeks ago:
Absolute madman
Tbh I didn’t think it’d work with anything more advanced than Morrowind, but I’m happy to see I’m wrong.
Now he should port Oblivion, both classic and remaster, to the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy
- Comment on Not only will the new Steam Controller scream at you but it can play tunes as well 5 weeks ago:
I don’t know why everyone is getting so weirdly defensive about this and downvoting you for stating your opinion.
I agree. It’s like the PlayStation controllers that play little sounds from their shitty little speaker that sounds like it was ripped from a cheap children’s toy. It doesn’t add immersion, it adds annoying. I’d hate to be hearing little dings and noises from my controller while I’m playing a game. That’s why I have speakers.
- Comment on LEGO 2K Drive is getting delisted soon and servers will shut down 5 weeks ago:
This game just came out last year. Seriously?
- Comment on "It's a UGC platform, there is always going to be dog s***" Garry's Mod creator says as S&box's latest update aims to punish AI-generated thumbnails 1 month ago:
I mean, good?
- Comment on Paranormal Activity: Threshold is as dead as its ghosts, as the game gets canned because Paramount couldn't wait any longer 1 month ago:
Seems like something that should have been made like 15 years ago
- Comment on Fallout 1 and The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind now run on Fallout 4's Pip-Boy and computer terminals, thanks to a modder 1 month ago:
I could see some YouTubers doing it, but that’s about it.
- Comment on Multiplayer kaiju action game BeastLink looks like it has potential 1 month ago:
There’s a play test on steam, cool.
And according to the description, it’s kaiju-vs-everything, not just other monsters. So you can be a dude, a vehicle, or a monster, and the environments are apparently going to be fully destructible.
- Comment on Conan Exiles Enhanced is out - a free upgrade for everyone with Steam Deck improvements 1 month ago:
I mean a free upgrade is free, so why the hell not
- Comment on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Price Update - Xbox Wire 2 months ago:
Wow I actually expected an increase.
Good for them.
- Comment on [Eurogamer] Mouse: P.I. for Hire review 2 months ago:
This game just came out?! I remember seeing ads and shit for this as if it was releasing, like almost 5 years ago. I thought it was already released.
- Comment on [Eurogamer] The Super Mario Galaxy Movie review 2 months ago:
I don’t know why everyone latched onto that Bowser song too, it was pretty rough. All he said was “Peaches” over and over and over again.
At least it was only popular for like a week and a half.
- Comment on Just Cause studio's canned dragon-riding fantasy romp AionGuard "would have been Crimson Desert", reckons former Avalanche creative head 2 months ago:
I could see it. The Just Cause games are pretty huge, sometimes for like no reason.
- Comment on The sequel to Garry's Mod releases this month, and Valve will let you publish your creations as standalone Steam games, like dafty Finn sim My Summer Cottage 2 months ago:
I love GMod. It will always have a spot on my hard drive.
But I agree. It takes them at least three months after the fact to release a monthly “patch” that I’m not sure actually does anything.
It could just be me and the insane amount of addons I’ve downloaded from the workshop, but it’s also really unstable. Like it takes me at least 5-10 minutes to go from launching the game to actually loading into a map; and once I’m there, I need to be careful with whatever I’m doing because even the slightest stutter will crash the game completely.
- Comment on Skyblivion devs are "on the hunt" for some "final, vital" veteran hands to get the Oblivion remake mod over the line this year 2 months ago:
I thought this was supposed to come out around November last year? Isn’t that what everyone was saying shortly after the Oblivion Remaster dropped?
