- Comment on Viral new indie game Dear Passengers under fire for Epstein reference 2 hours ago:
Just checked the steam page. It looks pretty fun actually. Also the reference is in a gif on the description, in which the pilot/flight attendant tosses someone who looks kinda like the current chimp in chief right out the bulkhead mid-flight.
Instantly wishlisted.
- Comment on "We were already running a tight ship": Elder Scrolls 6 devs are worried about Xbox's layoffs causing even more delays to the long-awaited RPG 6 days ago:
Either way, less people working on the game is bad. It guarantees mindsets (and longer development time) like yours: apathy.
- Comment on Cat Mail Co. is a cosy game where you run a post office for cats, and I wish it let me snoop into their private lives 1 week ago:
If you want to snoop on people’s private lives, there’s Shadows of Doubt
- Comment on Object Impermanence is a puzzle game where the moment you look away from something, it stops existing 1 week ago:
And there’s a demo on steam. Hell yes.
- Comment on After spending more than a decade in early access, robotic survival game Scrap Mechanic enters 1.0 later this month 1 week ago:
That’s pretty surprising actually. If this article would have said the opposite, that development is ending without going into 1.0, I would have accepted that as truth and moved on with my life.
It is a pretty fun and cool vehicle building game though. It reminds me of a more in-depth Banjo-Kazooie: N&B. There are plenty of YouTube videos and workshop addons that are pretty big and intricate.
- Comment on New Fallout 4 quest mod starring an iconic Elder Scrolls voice actor has you solve an eccentric gang war over a long-dead starlet's vault of mysterious goodies 1 week ago:
Wes Johnson voiced a character in a different mod, also made for a charity event thing. I guess he just loves doing stuff for Bethesda games and mods.
- Comment on Valheim 1.0 won’t update the survival game’s sparse oceans, reveal devs Iron Gate, who add it’s "too soon to say" how long post-release updates will continue 1 week ago:
I mean there’s barely swimming, so I’m not too upset. There are still the sea serpents and chitin creatures to find.
- Comment on Xbox layoff plans reportedly include closing Arkane, canceling Blade 2 weeks ago:
Lol I JUST got Dishonored (and the sequel(s)), and was curious if there was going to be a third one, or if Blade would ever see the light of day.
Lol.
- Comment on Nivalis has a new name and a release date that will make your autumn backlog even bigger 2 weeks ago:
I’ve been waiting on this since the announcement.
- Comment on "The 'AI Stigma' is real and severely punishes developers": A new study shows how much using AI in games hurts sales, and the numbers are hard to believe 2 weeks ago:
But that requires too much work! And everyone knows taking part in society and being a human is easy and requires no work at all! /S
- Comment on Star Wars Eclipse "literally cannot be finished" if layoffs go through, its devs reportedly say 2 weeks ago:
This is the first time I’m hearing of this game since the announcement trailer released like 3-4 years ago.
- Comment on What are you all buying during the Steam summer sale? 2 weeks ago:
I played it years ago on 360 but never got to finish it even though I got to the last mission.
- Comment on What are you all buying during the Steam summer sale? 2 weeks ago:
Dishonored Definitive Edition for $2
It’s about all I can afford, and I wasn’t even really planning on getting anything this sale.
- Comment on The interstellar dice-driven RPG Citizen Sleeper is free for the next week, so now you've got no excuse to not play it 3 weeks ago:
It’s only free on Epic.
I tried searching on Steam where it’s still like $6. Confused I went into the article, and in the second paragraph it tells you it’s only free on Epic.
- Comment on Another Xbocalypse begins: Microsoft are reportedly closing or spinning off Double Fine, Ninja Theory and Compulsion 4 weeks ago:
If Double Fine closes instead of just splitting back off into its own studio, I’m gonna be pissed.
- Comment on Fantasy city-builder Songs of Syx gets a major Reign of Terror expansion 4 weeks ago:
I just played the demo yesterday and had a decent time. There’s a lot of menus and the graphics and art style take some getting used to, but it seems like there’s a lot there.
- Comment on Destroy an entire city as a rolling ball of weird flesh in ROLLA 4 weeks ago:
Always love when games have a demo for me to try.
Even better when they leave it up and active even after their game releases.
- Comment on Pumping out new Fallout and Elder Scrolls games faster is reportedly the plan at Xbox, as the spectre of potential corporate rejigging looms 4 weeks ago:
I mean for Morrowind right now there’s Tamriel Rebuilt, Cyrodiil Rebuilt, and Skyrim: Home of The Nords which add the full Vvardenfell province, the province of Cyrodiil from Morrowind’s lore, and the province of Skyrim from Morrowind’s lore.
- Comment on To the delight of its skateboarding aliens, I have failed to solo Saturday morning cartoon-styled co-op roguelike Maximum Thunderness as if I have four hands 5 weeks ago:
I mean I’ve seen bad titles from other news sources, but RPS are consistently the worst every single time.
- Comment on To the delight of its skateboarding aliens, I have failed to solo Saturday morning cartoon-styled co-op roguelike Maximum Thunderness as if I have four hands 5 weeks ago:
RPS literally always has the worst fucking titles.
- Comment on Gothic remake lockpicking backlash raises the fascinating question of whether anybody really enjoys lockpicking in RPGs 5 weeks ago:
I played the Project: Mist demo last week.
That game has probably the freshest lockpicking minigame I’ve played in years. You have to extend the “pick” while also rotating the lock, but you have to thread it through the open spaces and neither just stays where you leave it; you need to constantly juggle each one to not break your pick.
- Comment on "Overwhelming power": Fumito Ueda's giant robot game gets an official title and, wait a minute, is that a gun? 5 weeks ago:
What’s bad is I know damn well he’s got his hair pulled back in a bitch bun, and thought “that looks fine” about the baby hairs before taking that work selfie.
Source: I have similar hair and it looks wild and wispy like that when it’s pulled back.
- Comment on "Overwhelming power": Fumito Ueda's giant robot game gets an official title and, wait a minute, is that a gun? 5 weeks ago:
It’s called Gen Atlas
- Comment on Development on Prologue: Go Wayback is ending as PlayerUnknown Productions lays off an unspecified amount of staff 5 weeks ago:
I finally remembered that this is the game that was announced only a few months ago. At least that’s when I first heard about it.
- Comment on Star Wars Zero Company release date leaks ahead of Summer Game Fest, and its XCOM-ish star warring isn't too far, far away 5 weeks ago:
Nice. This is one I’m actually kind of excited for. And all the screenshots look absolutely amazing.
- Comment on Crimson Desert's forgettable story will undergo tweaks to "strengthen the narrative flow" in the coming months, as Pearl Abyss tease proper DLC 1 month ago:
I just want to know why there are Iron Man power armors, dragons (also with power armor), mech suits, magic, guns with bullets/lasers, flying sky kingdoms, and medieval societies.
- Comment on Bungie reportedly eyeing up "significant" layoffs, no plans for Destiny 3: what happens after Destiny 2's final update in June? 1 month ago:
That’s it, no more Destiny. I wonder if D2 will still be up and “playable” after June 9th, as it’s a F2P live service game.
I can still go back and play through 90% of Destiny 1, so that’s pretty cool. Who knows how long Destiny 2 will be up once they actually shut down the servers.
- Comment on Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning 1 month ago:
They should unvault the content they deleted if the game is over. But I know we can never get it back because some idiot actually deleted it all from Bungie’s own archive.
Honestly, I still get upset that Bungie even thought it was a good idea. Like why would you effectively get rid of the game that actually shipped and people originally bought it for? Why the hell was there no compensation for players who actually bought the game before it went F2P (I’m not asking for actual money, but some kind of in-game exclusive item that you could only get if you bought the game before they changed it to F2P)?
- Comment on Shelve your hopes to play Ghost of Yōtei or Saros on PC, as PlayStation boss reportedly confirms plan to stop porting narrative-driven singleplayer games 1 month ago:
As long as they don’t delist the ones that are already available for PC, I’m fine with this.
Like this is already a fucking stupid business decision, but if they then also decide that delisting the games they’ve already made available might get them more console sales, I’ll eat a damn shoe. I believe that will actually piss off people enough to do something.
- Comment on Skyrim now runs on Fallout 4's Pip-Boy and computer terminals, as modder delivers the one port Bethesda haven't thought of yet 1 month ago:
Absolute madman
Tbh I didn’t think it’d work with anything more advanced than Morrowind, but I’m happy to see I’m wrong.
Now he should port Oblivion, both classic and remaster, to the Fallout 4 Pip-Boy
