Damn that title/description sounds fucking awesome.
- Comment on That official Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remake will reportedly shadow-drop next week, finally putting us robe-wearing Patrick Stewarts out of our speculation misery 10 hours ago:
My last playthrough I made it a point to close any gate I came across, as I also imposed a no fast-travel rule on myself.
After you close like ten of them they just start reopening. I literally watched one reopen as I walked up to it once. The sigil stones are kinda nice to have though.
- Comment on In Blight: Survival you roam a decaying medieval world putting the sword to fungal zombies 10 hours ago:
I’d love more thematic zombie games tbh. Red Dead’s Undead Nightmare kicked something off in me years ago that I didn’t know I needed. Years later there’s Black Masses on steam, but the devs abandoned that one to start working on UEBS2. I hope this will be cool.
- Comment on The Darkest Files - prosecute real Nazi crimes 1 week ago:
Damn this does sound pretty interesting. It sounds to me like kind of a mix of Phoenix Wright and Shadows of Doubt, but I’m sure it plays a bit differently.
- Comment on Please let Pillars Of Eternity's surprise turn-based mode spark a wave of turn-based updates for all other games 2 weeks ago:
Why is turn-based so popular? I understand everyone has different preferences, but the headline makes it sound like the author wants all games to be turn-based.
It’s one reason why I don’t like 4x games, tactical RPGs, and even Pokemon. I’d much rather have real-time combat and all the difficulties that presents.
- Comment on The Last of Us Part II Remastered devs aiming for "best possible experience on handheld gaming devices" 3 weeks ago:
It’s literally only been 5 years since it came out. Jesus fucking Christ.
- Comment on Shield-slinging open worlder The Knightling goes all Jak & Captain America in August 3 weeks ago:
So the article mentions literally morning and the Jak & Daxter games, as I was led to believe from the headline.
- Comment on Localthunk quells AI art civil war started by Balatro erotica subreddit mod 4 weeks ago:
Wow… There really is an entire subreddit to NSFW rule 34 fanart of the balatro cards…
And I thought r/NuvaBoobs was weird

Honestly sounds like a perfect description of Kenshi, too.
- Comment on Run a game store and go through gaming history in GSC - Game Store Chronicle 2 months ago:
It looks kinda like one of the many other “store simulator” games, but this one looks like a little bit more work has been put into it.

- Comment on Hogwarts Legacy Official Mod Support Confirmed For This Week 2 months ago:
I said almost the exact same thing in another comment in another thread about this exact thing.
It’s like the devs went out of their way to distance their game from JK Rowling at all, with the inclusion of the trans character. Plus the inclusion of the lesbian witches, and the fact that a good chunk of the NPCs in the game aren’t white or British. And the fact the game’s story doesn’t deal with bloodlines and purity and such.

What the hell is that title?
I swear RPS has the worst titles in all of gaming journalism.

I would unironically love a “Beach Spider-Man” action figure.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 Has Finally Hit Overwhelmingly Positive On Steam 2 months ago:
Same. My first playthrough had like two bugs. One, a random encounter AI just didn’t work for some reason, and another launched me straight up in the air as I was driving down the street.

Maybe whoever’s in charge at Disney doesn’t like video games like Zaslav hates actual well-made movies/shows.
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director thinks GTA 6 might have the "clout" to normalise a $100 price tag 2 months ago:
I could see it. And I think it could (read: will happen) at some point in the near future. Think about all the fanboys and whales and parents who don’t give a shit that’ll buy it anyway cause it’s the next new thing.
It’ll fucking suck when it happens.
- Comment on WebScreen is a customizable open source mini-screen that sits on your monitor to show notifications and more 2 months ago:
We heard you like screens, so we made a screen to put on your screen when you’re not looking at the other smaller screen you carry around with you.
Is this honestly necessary? Like really.
- Comment on Can 2025 please be the year more games add Text and UI Scaling 2 months ago:
I had issues like that on console as well. And yes it was From Soft games. Also Witcher 3.
42" tv with a space of 8’ between you is not super ideal imo. That, or i need glasses.

I was wondering if there would be more to Exo One. It’s an interesting game, but doesn’t make a ton of sense.

- Comment on City-building on a massive creature, The Wandering Village - Research & Economy update is live 5 months ago:
Going Medieval, a 3D colony builder like Rimworld, has been in EA for almost three years, and it’s constantly getting new things added to it. The most recent major update was allowing for taking prisoners and adding a conversion system so you can convince them to join you. Aside from that, the devs have added feast and religious events that you can trigger, they’re always adding new buildings and crafting stations, and there’s still more to come like NPC settlement raiding and such.
- Comment on s&box the spiritual successor to Garry's Mod now has a Steam page up 5 months ago:
I’m still not sure how I feel about this game. On one hand, GMod is old and probably not worth the upkeep at this point to keep it stable. On the other, the art style used for the default character models in this look absolutely horrendous; they look like weird thumb/pug/human hybrids.
I know at the core, they’re just mods for the Source and Source 2 engines so you can just mess around with what the engine itself can do, but imo they should stick with the Half-Life characters and other Source stuff rather than make their own.
