Good riddance, it was Halo in name only. That trash won’t be missed one bit by anyone.
- Comment on Rovio to close down Montreal dev Studio Lumi 11 months ago:
I was really hoping the headline just said “Rovio to close down”. Oh well.
- Comment on The best games of 2023, picked by the NPR staff 11 months ago:
Well if you go by sales figures, predatory monetization targeting whales that only represent 2% of the player base indicates that the absolute best products in the market today are what would have been made illegal 60 years ago in most states. Yay for capitalism that destroys our world, souls, and future.

NPR, huh, doing a better job of breaking down a criterion collection type list than any of the journo blogs/sites I’ve ever seen.
They’re surprisingly tasteful too, and they highlighted some real gems from the indie devs. I really hope they do more of this stuff, they’re real good at it.
- Comment on Bungie Devs Say Atmosphere Is ‘Soul-Crushing’ Amid Layoffs, Cuts, and Fear of Total Sony Takeover 11 months ago:
Wrath of the Machine, VoG, King’s Fall…even if you didn’t raid, the strikes playlists were a lot of fun.
Rise of Iron and the light level catch up activity with the Archon’s Forge was fantastic and made the game a whole lot more fun.

Looks like some c-level dweeb or scab sympathizer downvoted your comment. I couldn’t agree more with your assessment. Bungie leadership is pretty much miserable assholes these days. It sucks for the developers who do the actual work and are trying to tell leadership what will actually fix the company. They don’t deserve any of the frustrations from any of the player base, but the executives can fuck themselves with splintered balsa wood for all I care.
- Comment on Bungie Devs Say Atmosphere Is ‘Soul-Crushing’ Amid Layoffs, Cuts, and Fear of Total Sony Takeover 11 months ago:
So many people framed Activision as the bad guy, when we are seeing that they actually staved off some idiotic decisions on Bungie’s part. I have a feeling that while the layoffs are awful, I look at other studios run by Sony and can’t help but wonder if the real issue was just at the local management level, and Sony’s intervention is maybe needed to save Bungie from itself.
- Comment on Epic explains why it hasn't sued Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft over 30% fee 11 months ago:
I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s absurd how locked down their stuff is, but I’m not aware of prison time for opening up consoles yet. You can get sued, like Sony vs Hotz, and get ordered to pay some outrageous restitution, but that road ends in bankruptcy, not prison. Still complete bullshit that they can bankrupt a person, but there’s no prison…yet.
- Comment on Steam dropping support for macOS Mojave and by extension 32-bit games 11 months ago:
First off it’s confusing as hell where they try to paraphrase or summarize for what Valve already said plainly if you bypass this blogspam article and just go to their support page where they spell everything out neatly that any 32-bit games will remain in your library and accessible, albeit that your OS may not place nice. This article almost makes it as if they’re removing stuff from your library, which Valve clearly says they’re not doing. The summary AI bot would do a better job sourcing the Valve blog update than this writer did.

This article is fucking stupid and misinforms.
- Comment on Star Citizen Just Had its Biggest Crowdfunding Day Ever With $3.5 Million in 24 Hours 11 months ago:
Technically true, you can play the current build of a game that’s been in perpetual development with distractive milestones continually added so as to distract you from the promises made in years past.
- Comment on Star Citizen Just Had its Biggest Crowdfunding Day Ever With $3.5 Million in 24 Hours 11 months ago:
I’m not confused at all, timelines are forever moving goalposts, and each major “milestone” is really just a tech demo addition with no cohesive product. You can walk around spaceships, get auto generated quests, or get in some pvp where the person who bought the best ship wins.
The underlying promises have been continually missed with constant deflection that amounts to “hey look at this shiny thing we just did”.
