I think that comment was meant to be a reply to another comment which might have been deleted and now it seems lost or something.
I commented that because many of their videos about climate change are sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (and others among that caliber), sometimes hidden behind different names, while not always being very objective. Sometimes, some of them even lean into the narrative that the regular person should be blamed for climate change which is reminiscent of bp propaganda. If you want to know more details, YouTuber TheHatedOne made a video about this topic and you can find Kurzgesagts sponsors in their video descriptions.
This damages their credibility in general and also makes one mistrustful about their videos about different topics. It doesn’t mean everything they say is wrong, or course, but I became more critical in questioning their sources- especially since they left the German public broadcasting network and became privately funded.

Pre-aiming hitscan is an ancient workaround by players for bad networking. Lag compensation fixes that. This basic problem has been overcome long time ago and is not present anymore in “most games”. Pre-aiming projectiles is a basic fps weapon mechanic but has nothing to do with networking. However, it might be influenced by the networking logic by e.g. by increasing or decreasing a delay after shooting to compensate for certain ping values. This depends on the engine the game implements.
