honestly sticking with FOSS is a good idea.
ive been using firefox for more than a decade now without problems. mozilla is certainly fumbling but the browser is still good enough imo.
truly open phones would solve that problem too.
as with email services, i don’t think theres really a good solution there since these services are expensive to run reliably.
its a capitalism problem more than anything, really.
