- Comment on New Steam Beta fixes Preview update issues on Steam Deck and other Steam fixes 1 week ago:
I tried changing to Beta but it was causing issues with the Steam Deck buttons - The ‘steam’ and ‘…’ buttons were unresponsive, and after restarting it took 30 seconds for any buttons to be recognised. I might stick with Stable for now!

Updating the firmware fixed things for me! Give that a try

I ended up using a windows PC to do it - and the latest firmware appears to have fixed all my issues :)

Updating the controller firmware has vastly improved it! I recommend trying that out if you haven’t already.

Perhaps, but then why can the Pro controller connect without issue? 🤔
I’ll try updating the firmware and see if that makes any difference!

Not a bad shout! Do you know if that’s possible via the Steam Deck?
- Comment on SN30 Pro+ connection issues 3 months ago:
Interesting… I’ll try waiting a few minutes to see if it connects. Annoying though! It never used to do this.

- Comment on Dragon's Dogma 2 cooking features "real meat" - does that mean vegans shouldn't play it? 3 months ago:
Yes that’s fair - I’d certainly advocate every day items using alternative products wherever possible and people generally reducing their meat consumption. But the comparison between processes that use meat products continuously against a case where a piece of meat was filmed once to make a computer model that can then be replicated infinitely seems odd to me and a stretch to argue that ‘it’s impossible to be vegan and play Dragon’s Dogma 2’.
But if the intention is to raise awareness, fair enough!

If anyone is actually worried about meat being used to create cutscenes, and how meat was ‘used to create the game’… then surely you couldn’t justifiably consume any form of media? Surely nearly every TV show, film or game has staff that are have eaten meat at some point in the process to fuel themselves. Then how can you separate meat consumption from the production of any media? Is anyone actually concerned about this, or is it clickbait?
- Comment on [Discussion] New month, new games. What are you playing on your Deck? - February 2024 5 months ago:
I’ve just finished playing RealMyst (god that had some tricky and sometimes convoluted puzzles), and installed Bloodstained last night. So will hopefully start that later - I’ve heard good things!

Yeah I used a hairdryer, but it still created a few small ripples despite being super careful. To be honest I hardly notice them!
