development slowed considerably after people returned to offices that had been empty due to the covid pandemic and after a number of key employees left.
I wonder if those two things are related. Hmm.
Also, the return to office was a conscious and forced decision with lots of evidence against it, so boo hoo.

Doesn’t matter. 10s or 100s of thousands of people are lined up ready to take any job at Google.
Not like Google has high quality for most of its products in the last 15 years.

Wonder if this was brought on by:
- hosted Exchange servers crashing and degrading service to important customers
- or if IP addresses are getting too consolidated with the hosted Exchange servers, and important customers were getting IP spam blocked for using the same IP as spammers.
