- Comment on Valve 'Fremont' APU breaks cover on Geekbench, most likely for a future console 2 days ago:
As someone still using Steam Controller on the daily, I’m most excited about Steam Controller 2. The original remains the best controller I have ever used.
- Comment on Can't avoid native Linux version from GOG with Heroic on Steam Deck 4 days ago:
I’ve definitely had issues with Linux versions + Wayland; however, most of the time they are easily cleared up by launching the Linux native version in gamescope, which plays nicer with window managers, too.
That said, there really isn’t anything wrong with running things in Proton. Sometimes you can get better performance in Proton with the Windows build versus running the game in Windows (due to various factors, including shader precaching). Comparability layer ≠ emulation, and it’s important to distinguish the two, because “emulation” does and should sound slow. Proton is not emulation, strictly speaking.
- Comment on GTA 6 release date could slip to 2026 under Rockstar "fallback plan", according to reports 1 year ago:
Considering that just about every AAA game is now released as an awful, rushed mess (for $70), I hope they take their time.
- Comment on Nearly 30 Percent Of The Top 100 Steam Deck Games Aren’t Verified 1 year ago:
Just to make sure it’s clear: not being Deck Verified doesn’t mean it won’t run on the Deck or on Linux in general. It means Valve has not hit their testing threshold for the title to mark it as verified or unsupported.
More specifically, it means Valve cannot guarantee a) the game will run (though anecdotally, I’ve had most unverified games work without issue), b) that the text is large enough to be readable on the Deck, or c) that the controls are usable (=you might have to just use the configurator yourself).
I think a danger Valve has introduced with the verification system is people thinking that not verified == no worky.
- Comment on What video games immediately grabbed your interest? 1 year ago:
Derail Valley. It’s an Early Access game on Steam and it is incredible. Amazing progression, super chill but fun grind, immersion through the roof. Goes to show that some of the best games can come from small (= in this case around 10 people) devs.

The old one is good, too. It’s definitely aged but I enjoyed it when I watched it last year.
