- Comment on Steam Frame - What games do you want to play on it? 4 hours ago:
It makes sense. But there were studios attempting to make games, until Facebook/Meta snatched them up to build an exclusive platform. Killed VRs momentum.
- Comment on Steam Frame - What games do you want to play on it? 4 hours ago:
Most are old, when the Vive and then the Index arrived. Lots are janky old VR titles. Alyx is the first real game we got. The rest are locked behind the shitty Quest and PSVR. There's plenty of silly little experiences, but the amount of actual games with substance is low.
- Comment on Steam Frame - What games do you want to play on it? 9 hours ago:
VRs biggest issue. There's no games. Meta basically killed the segment before it could even get started.

What a massive loss. Rest in peace, SteamDB.

Buying this game is even worse than before! What a morally bankrupt purchase this would be.

Remember, by buying EA games you are giving money to a regime that beheads journalists (among many other crimes against humanity).

Its not a hostage situation, its an attention seeking situation. Any real leaker just dumps the game instantly.

If the leaker had a build, they would have released it by now to deal this damage.

For the cost of these satellites, we could have full connectivity across the world with land based infrastructure, which would last longer and be easier and cheaper to maintain. LEO internet should have been made illegal the moment it was conceived.
- Comment on Hideo Kojima ‘really sad’ about PlayStation killing discs, ‘frightened’ for future of ownership 2 months ago:
I asked you to provide an example of your claim within the AAA industry and you couldn't.
The goalpost you moved. I never said a one man team made a AAA game with $100M. I said an indie developer can make a DRM-free game, what's stopping a AAA dev (as shown with the AAA examples, clearly nothing other than choice).
Baldur's Gate and Cyberpunk are self published. Which is very ironic because I uhh said this earlier
The only way he could circumvent requirements would be if he decided to self publish the title.Yes, which as I said earlier:
But he owns Kojima Productions, he chose which publisher to use and agreed to their terms.
So, Kojima could have self-published. Those titles are not just 'magically' self-published, there is a choice made there.
Oh and as far as Doom goes. They didn't fully remove Denuvo until 2023
1/3 of the examples, yes. But they still did after 3 years, Death Stranding still hasn't after 6 years...
I see you are going to resort to going around in circles now though in an attempt to defend your beloved, so I am going to move on, as you'll never admit defeat. Good luck out there! o7
- Comment on Hideo Kojima ‘really sad’ about PlayStation killing discs, ‘frightened’ for future of ownership 2 months ago:
I haven't moved anything, I have stuck to the same point the whole time. Kojima is in a position to provide a DRM free game, he chooses not to. I said solo developers can manage it, I never mentioned budget, that was a goal post you moved, so you could better argue. Costing $100M to make and DRM-free are not mutually exclusive, they can co-exist and Kojima is in one one of the best positions to do it.
Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate 3, DOOM Eternal, all AAA games which each cost around $100M or more. All have DRM-free releases.
How are you so unbelievably dense? Get that Kojima dick out of your mouth for a minute and think about what you are saying. You fanboys are crazy.
- Comment on Hideo Kojima ‘really sad’ about PlayStation killing discs, ‘frightened’ for future of ownership 2 months ago:
You can keep moving the goal posts all you like to defend your daddy, but he didn't redevelop the game, it was just launched on PC, which did not cost over 100 million. He then made a second one, made the same decisions. He does not give a fuck about game ownership or he would lead by example.
Stardew Valley was made and published by 1 guy, has sold over 40 million copies and has a DRM-free release. Turns out you don't need to spend $100M or a publisher to make a more successful game. Where's the goal post going next? Just gonna be stuck on how much a game costs to make? Gonna move it to the graphics? Pointless actor hires? Surely if you spend over $100M you can make a version with no DRM, right?!
- Comment on Hideo Kojima ‘really sad’ about PlayStation killing discs, ‘frightened’ for future of ownership 2 months ago:
I know you love him dearly, but he could have done a lot better. 1 man studios manage it, surely big Kojima could have. This is simply another Kojima PR move, which he is good at.
- Comment on Hideo Kojima ‘really sad’ about PlayStation killing discs, ‘frightened’ for future of ownership 2 months ago:
How does that change anything? Death Stranding still had Denuvo and both games are not DRM-free or released on GOG (or elsewhere) with standalone installers. His comments are a PR move, otherwise he would put his money where his mouth is.

Then why arent his games DRM-free and released on GOG? Death Stranding had Denuvo.
Classic say what is popular PR move.

Yea, it just means you were rolled closer to the front of the line on your 2TB slot.
- Comment on Has anyone here got their Steam Machine yet? 2 months ago:
That's not true. If you reserved for multiple models, then you were rolled randomly in each. Whichever model you rolled best on is the model you can buy.

I disagree completely. It's complete ass. The first thing you should do in any Larian game is install a camera mod.
It should just be a freecam.
Surely they don't fuck it up 4 times in a row... right?

That's funny in this context, because BG3 has a terrible camera.

Why even bother? New concept ideas are better coming straight from the mind rather than using a model to regurgitate existing things.

- Comment on Valve dev counters calls to scrap Steam AI disclosures, says it's a "technology relying on cultural laundering, IP infringement, and slopification" 9 months ago:
Respectfully, fuck right off.
Indie games compete all the time, they make millions. Games are an artform. Any developers using AI are in it for a quick buck and people dont want to reward that versus traditional hardwork.
Indies have been wildly successful for decades before AI has even existed, so dont suddenly pretend its a crutch they need now. And you are down right disrespecting any legitimate artists by defending AI use. It's disgusting.
It's the AAA devs that are going to use AI to pump out more garbage, not the honest indie developers.

- Comment on Epic CEO wants Valve and Steam to stop requiring devs to disclose generative AI usage 9 months ago:
Good. Fuck "AI". They should have to disclose exactly what it was used for and that should be displayed right at the top of the games store page, along with any extra transactions in the game, extra accounts or launchers needed.
