- Comment on Steam's NSFW and Mature tags ditched by Valve in favour of "more descriptive" ones like Sexual Content and Gore, as part of wider revamp 2 weeks ago:
Steam in Germany is a bit of a special case. Basically, they got criticized for years for offering adult-only games to minors on account of not having any kind of legally accepted age check.
Steam finally reacted to this but not by implementing PostIdent or some other age verification scene. No, they just blocked German users from even seeing the store pages of anything that doesn’t have an age rating in Germany. That mostly means porn games.
Hence my comment that “sexual content” and “unavailable in Germany” are pretty much the same thing as far as Steam is concerned.

Nothing new; they just renamed “unavailable in Germany” to “sexual content”.

Can we get some infantry combat footage next? Maybe from Counter-Strike or Unreal Tournament for variety?

You could have a really simple Markov chain generator fill a gigabyte’s worth of .txt files with nonsense sentences. At least that’s “content” they have to parse.

Piracy isn’t piracy. Piracy is copyright infringement. Real piracy involves boats.
So if you want to be a proper pirate, run your BitTorrent client on a boat.
