- Comment on You can get DOOM, DOOM Eternal, more DOOM and multiple Wolfenstein games in this latest Humble Bundle 2 weeks ago:
The game definitely wants you to be aggressive, but you can sometimes just run around to think for a few seconds. I do it sometimes to wait for my chainsaw cooldown to finish, because I need ammo. Or shoot an Imp in the face for a Glory Kill. These animations also give you some extra time to decide your next step. Enemies usually don’t continuously spawn, until the arena is just packed. There are always exceptions of course, like Totems or Archviles, but they aren’t super common.

I’m the exact opposite. Doom 2016 is good, but Eternal is much better in my opinion. The dash and SSG grapple just make the game much better.

The game might make it seem like you constantly need to use specific weapons, for certain things, but you really don’t (except the very beginning). The weakpoints feel like a big deal at first, but they become increasingly a non-issue as you play the game and get more powers.
I played the later levels and even the Master Levels recently with mostly the Super Shotgun and Ballista, just using the same strategy over and over. SSG to grapple in, quick switch to Ballista, jump back. If you have grenades or the punch, use them in-between.
- Comment on Nintendo apologizes as Switch 2 demand overwhelms supply in Japan 2 weeks ago:
Nintendo, like many Japanese companies, only produces what they know with 100% certainty they can sell.
Nintendo’s president specifically bragged a month ago, that they were just going to make so many Switch 2, so there’ll always be some on Shelves.
- Comment on Popular idle game Melvor Idle is getting a sequel with Melvor Idle 2 bringing some huge new features 2 weeks ago:

- Comment on The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Has Quests Exclusively Locked Behind Deluxe Edition 2 weeks ago:
The base game is supposed to have all DLC, that was previously released, original Horse Armor included.
The Deluxe Edition is new Horse Armor and other cosmetic stuff, that is unlocked by these exclusive quests.
- Comment on Overwatch 2's new Stadium mode won't feature its poster character Tracer at launch, though there's a fair reason why 3 weeks ago:
Nah, I think the move to 5v5 was actually a good thing. I’m not interested in the classic OW experience or have any nostalgia for it.
- Comment on Marvel Rivals' latest gambit is seeing whether you'll pay real money for colours 3 weeks ago:
If Venom’s ass looks fatter with a different color, yes, people will buy them.
- Comment on Overwatch 2's new Stadium mode won't feature its poster character Tracer at launch, though there's a fair reason why 3 weeks ago:
I haven’t played OW in a loooooong time, however slowly but surly, every time I see the game, I want to go back a bit more. Maybe 2025 will be the year?
- Comment on Diablo 4's 2025 roadmap outlines upcoming seasons, tweaks and, ugh, collabs 4 weeks ago:
Wating for that Diablo 2 collab. I want a Deckard Cain skin.
- Comment on Silksong release date confirmed for 2025 5 weeks ago:
Confirmed like the announcement on that one xbox show?
- Comment on Spectre Divide shutting down six months after launch reminds us how hard it is to make a live-service game 1 month ago:
Don’t think the last point is true, since there was a report recently that said almost 50% of game time over one month was spent on live service games.

Former Fable dev behind hit free Ultima-style RPG
How about you just tell us the name of the game, and not just drop a dozen others, and magle your title.

Finally, a rogue-like deck builder, there really aren’t enough of these.
- Comment on FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH gets stability fixes and a Steam Deck graphics setting tweak 2 months ago:
I have to check that out tonight. Performance was mostly alright for me, but yesterday in the Gold Saucer I had some big frame drops, every time the camera jumped in cutscenes.
- Comment on Try this mod to calm Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s stuttering on PC 3 months ago:
Imma try this, but I haven’t had too much stuttering. Some rare frame drops, but Junon and the base had a bit more in a few spots.
- Comment on Valve seemingly discontinues Steam coupons — the company quietly removes partner documentation 3 months ago:
I think I’ve only ever got coupons for random shovelware games, that I would never buy. So removing them is no skin off my back.
