That girl who plays Steam Deck a lot

EmuReady sounds awesome! I’ll definitely be using that in the future, hopefully it will be a good resource for my Odin 2 Max!
Be the change you want to see! You can make an account there and share how games run for you, in fact I just checked and can’t see a single Odin compatibility report submitted by the community yet. You could be the one to change that!!!
Your next interview is giving me darknet diaries vibes, sounds like it has potential to be very interesting.
If Jack is somehow stumbling over this, he and I both know that he owes me a coffee.
Wii U emulation on Android just isn’t quite there yet
I’ve not been in the Android emulation scene for awhile, it’s nice that its even possible these days!

Thanks for the interest!
In 2023 / 2024 I was in contact with what I suppose you’d call the ‘big three’ of modern piracy - FitGirl, Dodi and Empress.
Empress was clearly in it just for the money. She was exactly as you’d expect her to be from her interview and general ranting back then.
Dodi said he did so because he grew up very poor in Egypt, he stated that pirating games was the only way he and his friends could hope to enjoy gaming and culture. That the companies lost no money or sales because there was simply no way they’d be able to afford the games. Though, to be fair, he has afforded to put himself through medical school since he started…so I’d say he also enjoys the proceeds.
Fit was the most calculated, and I think knowledgeable of the three. I think she is a pirate at heart and does it for an ideal, though she too (the most of the three) has enjoyed a lot of money for her efforts.
I’m super interested to see how this Switch pirate interview goes, since like I mentioned - its not been done before!

Staying away from Chome (even for work) I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet, I’m hoping it’s going to be approved to Firefox’s add-ons so I can see how it is!

Ugh
There’s always something I miss up! Thank you, I’ll edit that to what it should be!

I don’t think I can choose. I use both, and am good friends with the devs of both options!!!
I use Heroic for my desktop PC, the ease of having Epic, GOG and Heroic on Linux is unbeatable to me. I do also have it on my Steam Deck
Junk-Store is (at the moment, however the upcoming release will change formats) a plugin via Decky Loader, and looks almost as if it is a native extension of the Steam Deck. The UI/UX feels stock, and that is so nice to see. And it is dead easy to use.
JS has Epic for free, and GOG is a once-off payment for the plug-in.
Heroic’s support of Epic, GOG and Amazon are all free.
Its a choice, I swear by these two options and wouldn’t even bother with any other. Try both, and see which one feels best to you!

If you’ve got any questions, please ask! I’m so happy to help if you get stuck on any part.
And glad I could help, GOG, Epic and Amazon games are a easy thing to run on the Steam Deck, and expand what you can play so easily. Such a good thing if you have Prime Gaming :)

Thanks for letting them know!

Its a shame. Some time ago this would happen with my posts, then someone reached out to the Boost dev and they fixed it. At least for awhile. Seems that same issue remains :(

I’d hope that maybe in the future they’ll follow this up with further support? That may just be the eternal optimist in me, but I’d like to believe there is a chance :)
And thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed this much smaller mini edition!!!

Oh that is lucky!!!
Glad it helped!

Plenty happened!
But, yes, that too. I laughed, so many posts have the title ‘rival devices’ supporting Steam OS and I just have to wonder…is that what they really think?
Hard to imagine more devices having Steam there, giving Valve that sale-per-game money being a bad thing.
But again, these huge news pieces are done to death by the time I get around to them with my weekly posts. I can’t see what I can add, unless I find anything else fun about them!

Oh I know, plenty of big things happened (isn’t it lovely how quickly you can go from Game to Desktop Mode now?!)
…but the things I try to share are never those big ones. Everyone sees them, my posts aren’t ever meant to be the ‘big news items’ things - just some that (hopefully) people might miss!

Thank you, Brave Little Hitachi Wand!!
This one’s very small compared to my typical News Posts, but:
a) thought it nice to try something specific b) easier to arrange quickly than my usual endless effort!!!
I appreciate the comment, I felt a bit self-conscious sharing only a small post this time :)

I’m good friends with Gardiner, we chat every day! The reason I’m using the fact he uploads to YouTube is that this is where I figure he is most know, and most found by users. It’s not me stubbornly sticking my head in the sand, it’s so people can find him easily and see his work.
Once we’ve done our interview, you can rest assured I’ll have all of Gardiner’s contacts listed up - and I’ll even throw YouTube’s down the bottom!
It was, yes. But I also had Liam (of Gaming on Linux) post this to his site, last year. By memory I think Noah (SteamDeckHQ) posted a few others I did also on his site, but initially these were shown on reddit. You won’t find my post history there, however. I deleted my profile and content when I got well and truly sick of things there.
And thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!

- Comment on Developer interview: my Q&A with the Heroic Games Launcher team 5 weeks ago:
didn’t format correctly for some reason. No idea why since you had the # there and everything
I tried re-editing, but sometimes Lemmy does this. Its formatted as it should be, but it refuses to show correctly. I guess it might be the length of my posts, but that’s just a (poor) reasoning on why. It shouldn’t look like that, but it does. Nothing else I can do!
Thanks, though. Much appreciated!

It really is!
-
You can find their affiliate link for buying directly from GOG here on their website.
-
But also any games bought from within Heroic itself gives the Heroic team a certain small percentage of the sale, directly to support Heroic.

I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Having personally used RetroDECK for a loooooong time now and nothing else for emulation? I can swear by it :)
Thank you!!!
