My favorite was spider-man 2. The story is meh but the combat and swinging physics make exploring the open city SO MUCH FUN. I don’t even think the new spidey games manage to replicate the sense of control and speed this game did. Check it out. If you don’t want to deal with the story and unlocking all of the moves and upgrades, enter the name “HCRAYERT” without quotes as your new game name. It will give you lots of money, put you part way through the story, and give some upgrades. It’s a good way to just jump in and start swinging fast without tutorials or story.
- Comment on Whatever happened to cheat codes and guide books? They were the best part of gaming they just kind of dropped of the earth is there a rhyme or reason for this? 1 month ago:
A lot of cheats weren’t actually useful gameplay cheats. My favorites were always the silly ones like big head mode or flying a real car in rogue squadron.

Yeah, if the anticheat is ever compromised, I don’t think it’s going to patiently wait until you’re done playing to fuck up your day. So I don’t really see a difference between always-on and sometimes-on kernel anti cheat.
- Comment on You can still get into this weekend's Battlefield 6 beta but you'll have to watch 30 minutes of those awful Twitch people 2 months ago:
It’s a good thing it comes with kernel anti cheat, it saved me from wanting to watch 30 minutes of those awful twitch people.

Oh one other thing - it would be cool if you could link to the lemmy post from the site somehow, as I will mostly be using my RSS reader to read the the articles, but if I want to join the comments I’d have to manually find the lemmy post.

I would love to see the articles on both, if it’s minimal effort for you. Having them in lemmy without navigating out is such a slick experience. But the site makes RSS super easy too, so I think you’d be giving something significant up if either one went away.
