Mina the Hollower
Only 3 hours in so far, the combat is a bit challenging already, and I’m still exploring around the starting city.
Finding secret areas is as fun as it was in Shovel Knight, music is great, art is gorgeous, the only complaint so far is how you get stuck with the starting weapon and switching it later requires a lot of money

Some of the directories are in the home (the tilda ~ means home of the current user) and home directory is not immutable

Playing through the third one right now, the first 2 ran great already, and the launcher really is convenient, before it was all manual commands in the terminal.
One advice I would give is to delete the rom file and the iso_data/{gamename} folders after the games are fully installed to save space, since it’s several gigabytes per game that are not used after the installation

I think 1080p/60 is the best you should expect, and depending on the game it might be too much still. I’ve tried connecting it at 4k and even the UI had issues for me

Spelunky 2 and Final Fantasy 7 with mods. Took a bit to get running, but FF7 is great with widescreen and upscaled everything

Is there some secret to running it? Almost every time the game just refuses to start if I add the launch option

Check Ultimate Spider-man as well, although you can also try getting a PC version from abandonware sites and modding it for better experience. For me it felt like a better Spider-man 2, swinging is a bit different but style and story are unmatched.

It doesn’t need wifi though, PlayStation portal does. But yeah, the second screen was a questionable idea - too hard to implement in an interesting way, makes all local multiplayer games asymmetrical, makes porting difficult… Even Nintendo gave up

This seems like what I see then… Too bad, basically makes the charge limit useless, unless I always play docked

Maybe they don’t test LCD decks anymore…
- Comment on Does the charge limit actually work? 10 months ago:
Oh, that’s great, I’ll need to test that!

I have an LCD one, and I’m on stable. I’ve played handheld plenty of times getting it down to almost 0, it still charges to 100 every time afterwards
