Congrats on admitting you were incorrect.
No, really, more people should do that. It takes elf awareness and humility. Good for you.

I don’t consider this social media.
No real names. Ability to curate your feed.only the information you choose to share.
It’s just a shitload of forums in one place.

I personally don’t give a shit if ai is used on something I like.
It’s unethical to present something as human-made that isn’t though. That I do care about.

LLMs are actually very, very useful for certain things.
The problem isn’t that they lack utility. It’s that they’re constantly being shoehorned into area where they aren’t useful.
They’re great at surfacing nee knowledge for things you don’t have a complete picture of. You can’t take that knowledge at face value but a framework that you can validate with external sources can be a massive timesaver
They’re good at summarizing text. They’re good at finding solutions to very narrow and specific coding challenges.
They’re not useful at providing support. They are not useful at detailing specific, technical issues. They are not good friends.

You’re forgetting that, like all of americas problems, the solution has been found elsewhere and you’re just not going to do it because reasons I guess? Idk. I’m not American. Thank god.

Cool. Like. Taste is subjective. I have no issue in principal for people liking and playing the game.
It seems like an odd hill to die on though. Basing the choice of your OS around that one game seems extreme.
I’m not judging. Like. Anyone that isn’t using Hannah Montana Linux is pretty much human garbage anyway, so to each their own.

I mean… you could just not play oblivion?
No judgment but that game is old af and I don’t recall it being all that great

Also pretty much all modern consoles have been eye watering my expensive on launch save the switch. Even the switch 2 was very pricey.
Early adopters will jump on at the higher price point and everyone else will get on board when the price falls.
Honestly the thing I REALLY care about here is the steam controller 2. I LOVED the original. Gimme gimme gimme

I wonder this all the fucking time.
YouTube has been a huge contributor to the lack of useful written knowledge online.
Which would be cool if any of googles search functionality worked anywhere and video wasn’t a god awful fucking medium for learning everything.
Pause. Try a thing. Get behind. Pause. Rewind… play. Pause. Play. Pause.
Even typing this out pisses me the fuck off.

To any and every property they operate out of ideally.

People that have weird sex are huge on consent.
Like. You don’t become a part of that community and stay in it without being super up front about all the implicit shit in other interactions.
Which may also have something to do with all the neurodivergent people involved in kink .

You cultivate these parasocial relationships with people online who pay you for them. Like.
You should be safe attending an event like this. And doing so doesn’t give anyone the right to you, to hurt you, or anything about you beyond what choose to share.
At the same time the entire streaming thing seems designed to prey upon lonely maladjusted weirdos, so while I’m not shocked that someone tried soemthing like this (I am shocked at how shitty the security was here), this isn’t super surprising.
The entire thing feels exploitative and gross for everyone involved, both the streamers and the people watching / paying them.
- Comment on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is targeting Steam Deck and other handhelds because players want more "freedom" nowadays 1 month ago:
You can beat 90% of the fights in all of the final fantasy turn based games just by mashing x.
Like. In emulators if you speed the game up and just set the attack button to rapid fire on one key you can get through almost everything. Including a lot of bosses.
The remake is far more action oriented I agree. But I don’t think any of the games have been particularly strategic excepting a few specific boss fights that require specific things to be done.

I couldn’t disagree more.
The entire time I played them I felt like a child again, experiencing the games for the first Time.
The entire time I felt the amount of passion the creators had for the original and I loved every minute of both of them.
