The really shitty part is, it was just on sale before the delist was announced.
They would havesold a ton of copies at the sale price.

Not only will it be instant and ready, but some shitty AI can make incorrect conclusions based on that data!

“Problem” is, no one does that. And I get that its on the parents in that case but these lazy ass parents basically want the nanny state to nanny them. The people who want this basically are only allowed to get off on being repressed by some controling influence (God, the state, etc).
It also means kids get around it. I used the parental controls on mybson’t Xbix but he would just go play stuff at his friend’s house.
Also, mildly related, and maybe its changed, companies need to make it easier for parents to remove parental controls. Because if I remeber, back when I did that after he was older (he is like 27 now), it was a pain to remove his Xbox account from being associated with mine as a parent.

It’ll be the same until “We noticed you follow an LGBTQ influencer on that Insta, please comply with the reeducation ICE crew who will arrive shortly.”

I will agree with that. Its just the best comparison I can personally make for buying digital assets. But while my total Fortnite spend is like, maybe $200, my SL spend is probably $1000+ at this point.

The best comparison I have is Second Life, which I have played pretty regularly for 20 years now. I will impulse buy so much digital cosmetic shit when it cost the equivilant of $1. I think Indid the math once because its easy to pull your fransaction history there, and I have spent like 4-5x what I spent on Fortnite, and thats including the passes in Fortnite because they tend to be an excellent value compared to everhthing else bringing everything in it down to that “$1 range”

Sweeney said it’s due to the "downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we’re spending significantly more than we’re making,
As someone who used to play a lot of Fortnite, I basically stopped because theybrefused to fix all of the glaring problems with the game. I am sure dumping devs will help with that.
- Matchmaking is complete ass.
- Just add the ability to play vs bots with no humans
- Stop trying to optimize experience gains for fucking making me have to play 20 hours a weeknto unlock the battlepass I already bought within the 3 month window. Seriously, fucking stop, I have other things to do in life too.
- Constantly raising prices on everything. Its digital, supply is infinite, charge like $5 max and I would buy 100x more. As is, I buy nothing, because $25+ skins and $8 Jam tracks are a rip off.
The main one is the third one though. They don’t respect my time, I stop playing. The shit matchmaking would be solved by the second point.

The only thing that feels useful in these features is the lighting and I achived that in my LEGO city by picking up some of those wired micro LED strings at Dollar Tree and running them between the floors of the buildings.

I dount they see it that way. More fingers and lockdown means more DRM. I feel like alot of things like removing headphone jacks and pushing to more data connection and not just video for monitors is part of a lomg term attempt to kill the “analog hole”.
- Comment on Neocities founder stuck in chatbot hell after Bing blocked 1.5 million sites 2 months ago:
Bing is basically the only search engine that doesn’t actively censor our porn results. Its impossible to find videos for shit on Google even with “safe search” turned off.
- Comment on Neocities founder stuck in chatbot hell after Bing blocked 1.5 million sites 2 months ago:
Yes. I want an old school sewrch engine that JUST does blogs and small websites. And no “Big News Website Blogs”. Just random people on Wordpress and Blogger, etc.
I was browsing a Geocities archive the other day and its just like, fuck I miss when the web was just fun and random people making dumb websites about random shit.
