- Comment on WNBA facing major backlash after controversial Caitlin Clark decision 2 days ago:
If the WNBA players aren’t bricking 3s over and over again like they do in the NBA, that’d certainly be a welcome improvement.
That’s exactly my mindset. This is more like watching really great basketball players you can cheer for. Not superhuman multimillionaires who have been loved their whole life (deservedly so, but still…). I like that these chicks have had to fight for everything the whole time. Their pay has usually sucked, tho it’s finally better, but not even close to NBA levels. Many have had to play overseas in the offseason just to get paid decent. So they just play year round wherever takes them. lol
The WNBA games are just more relatable to me.

It’s just she’s not the best in the league.
Exactly this! And I don’t think she’s the most fun to watch. I personally love Jade Melbourne, though her team is terrible this season. But that girl is diving and smashing all over. She lost a tooth while smacking onto the floor, picked it up and handed it to her coach, then went out to finish the game w a bloody smile the whole time. Paige Bueckers has been crazy good too. She landed really bad, could barely stand on ankle, went into locker room, taped up and just came back and started hitting basket after basket. But her ankle was trashed and she doc made her set next game out.
It’s been crazy. I like Clark, but she’s not my fav player. And her attitude is kinda shitty, but to an ealier point, she does get a lot of shit these days. So she’s def getting a chip on her shoulder.

You really should. I have been watching games all season this time, and it’s crazy. Most of the teams are so evenly matched that many end within just a few points of each other. So many comebacks. It’s so hard to guess who’s gonna win. Early on this season I was betting a bit on them, but nope. I just couldn’t win. I just can not predict the outcome. It’s like a 50/50 bet each time. lol
I prefer WNBA to NBA to be honest. NBA guys are almost superhuman, so I just can’t get into it. But watching these women play, it’s just much more realistic to me and fun. Also I probably like the underdog status of it all.
Good be that so many people used to hate on the WNBA, it made me sorta like them. lol Go watch some highlights of recent games. Clark gets a lot of the news (and she’s really good), but I don’t think she’s the most exciting one to watch. Lots of good players this season.

Oh, I get you. I wasn’t clear on what you were tying to say. I agree with most of what you say, but I do think Clark is insanely talented. Her making shots from the logo while running are pretty epic to see live. But I do get annoyed that Clark is talked about so much.

Nope. The WNBA is awesome. You should watch some recent games. So many overtime games and close calls. Great stuff.
