vocalinux is solid if you want free and open source. i’m the dev of Wspr, its also local whisper but uses bigger models by default so accuracy is way better out of the box, hotkey to type into any app, wayland works fine too. one time price though, not free, worth it if the tiny model results are the dealbreaker. I absolutely abuse this thing everyday non stop. I use the Large-Turbo model for pretty much instant transcription. getwspr.com
