Eh. In pve, you build and explore. In pvp, you get raided while offline. Both in PvE and pvp, your thralls/minions can fall through the map on spawn and die.
Incremental crafting progression, lots of equipment/buildings dlcs and exploring a large map where almost everything wants to kill you.
It can be fun. But only in specific circumstances.
Without a server to keep the world state, the offline version resets npcs, animals, materials everywhere except your base each time you load up the game.
Their official servers were apparently in maintenance mode with zero admin interaction.
Private servers though, if you don’t know the owners, they usually suck.
Hit or miss really. Personally, I’m thinking Dune Awakening didn’t perform as expected, so they’re trying to pump up sales on something they pretty much abandoned until recently. Or they’re operating with minimal staff…
