derin@lemmy.beru.co 2 weeks agoThat’s unfortunately in place to stop scalpers. Realistically, once demand dies down, you’ll be able to order anonymously/with a new account like most pre-existing steam Hardware.

It really does make sense. I wish there could be a line for console ascenders but obviously that’s not plausible without scalpers hopping in.
